Canoo, a high-tech mobility company, was awarded a contract by the Defense Innovation Unit – a division of the U.S. Department of Defense – to supply battery modules for testing and demonstration.
Canoo’s proprietary battery system is modular, making it suitable for many configurations. The system is engineered to be flexible and compatible with cells from leading battery providers, adapting to changes in cell size and chemistry as the battery industry continues to mature and reduce costs.

This contract follows Canoo’s recent delivery of a Light Tactical Vehicle (LTV) to the U.S. Army, and selection to provide NASA with crew transportation vehicles for the Artemis lunar landing missions.
